FYB will offer a five-week Summer League starting on Monday, July 15, 2019 ending on or before Saturday, August 17, 2019.
Summer League is bring-your-own-team. An effort will be made to place individual players on a team or form a team if we have enough players within an age group. Unfortunately, the league can’t guarantee placement on a team. Please work with coaches in your league to find a team for Summer League. Free agents may Click here to submit their request to be placed on the Free Agent List.
The fee is $120 per player. Each team will play 10 games. The top four teams in each division listed below, will play a single elimination play-off at the end of the season.
6U Coach Pitch
For Players who are 5 or 6 years old on or before April 30, 2020
7U and 8U Coach Pitch
For Players who are 7 or 8 years old on or before April 30, 2020
Suggested league for open teams moving up from 6U, that plan to play in 7U Open League next spring and for returning 8U open teams

10U Closed Bases (8U USSSA Rules)

12U AA and 12U Open
For Players who are 11 or 12 years old on or before April 30, 2020.

For Players who are 13 or 14 years old on or before April 30, 2020.
Summer League is considered a developmental time for teams to get a chance to play in the new league they will be eligible to play in next year. Teams can have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 12 players on their roster. Teams can use substitute players during Fall Ball. Substitute players may be any player on any team within your division. A substitute can only play in the outfield and must bat at the end of your line-up. A substitute can only be used if team falls below 9 regular players on its roster. A game is forfeited if a team fields less than 6 players on its roster or less than 8 total players.
Teams will be responsible for purchasing their own uniforms, 2020 USSSA Registration and 2020 Team Insurance for the team. Teams will need to purchase this in early July prior to the season starting and provide a copy to the league prior to their first game of the season.

Thursday, June 20th from 6:30pm-9:00pm – First registration date for managers to pay team registration fee.
Monday, June 24th from 6:30pm-9:00pm – Final registration date for team payment.

After the team signs up for league, each player must go online and register for your team prior to the start of the season. A code will be given to managers during registration allowing players to register to their team.
New coaches who didn’t complete a background check during the 2019 spring season, will need to complete a background check and be issued a badge prior to being allowed on the field.
Teams will be numbered in order that payment is received in case we need to limit the number of teams due to field capacity issues.
If a team decides to not play in the league prior to the schedules being posted, they will be granted 50% refund of player fees.
If a team decides to not play, after schedules are posted, no refund will be granted.

Top 4 teams in each league will play single elimination play-off.
Teams in end of season tournament must use players on roster, no substitutes allowed.
If team can’t field a team for play-offs, let the league know and next highest seed will be allowed to play in tournament.
Season will end on Saturday, August 17th so students may start school.
